    Same thing. A lot of cartridges are named after the company the commercialised them or their inventer.
    308 Winchester, 7mm Remmington magnum, 35 Whelen (although I believe the 35 was named in honour of Townsend
    Whelen, not because he came up with the idea).
    Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
