Been doing a bit of thinking with @mucko on the design for the spinner target. Trying to design it such that the little calibres still have a chance of getting it to spin.

Not sure if you were also looking to get a couple made @vietnamcam or if you were just planning on some gongs - if you were looking at a spinner or two get in touch and once I have a design sorted I can pass it on.

Is there a size needed for 3gun etc?

I don't know if there is a size required for 3-gun etc. but the more i think about it the more i think the pistol clubs won't like them. I think they only like steel targets that fall forward and so there is less risk that a bullet fragment can come back at a shooter if the target angle isn't good. With this targets there is a significant chance someone could shoot the target at an angle they might not like. Not so much a problem at 400 yards...

    Gillie,
an alternate is to go to the likes of Goughs, or GJ sole, and get a few old cutting edges of a grader, dozer or loader, and fab something up, Have done so the past,
Would help, but are back working in Canada for a few months,
Have a few off cuts of hardox, and bisloy 550 stashed, for gongs, for the next shipment back to NZ.

There is also the problem of bouncing a round out of the range if it comes off at a bad angle. Most pistol clubs would have serious issues with that.

You'll want to make sure you have a decent sized hill as a back stop, as a large caliber rifle could go a long way if you hit it while it is angled to the rear.

Yep, that is normal practice for us anyway...
