The Bushy Banner on my .22 is the same, its basically 4 clicks per 2"! Holds zero fine though.

I just sighted in my 308 and 300wm this afternoon, both new rifles and new scopes.
It was a piece of piss.
I bought one of those scope levels, the one that you sit the small bubble level on the elevation turret and clamp the other bubble level on the muzzle end of the barrel. Did this at home.
Went to the range and set up the flouro target ring sticker at 50yds, bore sighted the rifle, fired one shot which got me on the outer ring and then made slight scope adjustments to get in the bull.
Then set up another flouro target at 100yds and cranked out a shot which was a couple of inch's low, I must have continued firing about 5 shots just to see what sort of group I was getting before adjusting the elevation turret so I was approx 3" high at 100yds - That will be good for say 250yds which is max distance I'll be dropping animals with next week.
Repeated the above steps for the 300win mag.

Getting bloody good groups with shitty ammo, was using Highland 308 150gr then once sighted in pumped a few of those Bitterroot Amax 168gr's re-manufactured rounds and got sub moa.

    So I'm all set.

Sighting in is simple simple! Boresight it as suggested above, but dont worry about any fancy clamps etc, just cut a "V" in to the end of a cardboard box and sit your rifle across the box, pistol grip fitting tightly in to the "V" Once boresighted fire 1 shot over a good rest at 25 metres, change scope to bring exactly on to centre, fire one more shot, repeat. You should be able to get it right on the button at 25 metres with 2 or 3 shots. With most sporting rifles in 308, this should put you about 3" high at 100. Once you have it centred at 25, move out to 100 and fire a group, 3 or 5 shots, then adjust your scope to bring the centre of the group to where you want it. Most 308's doing approx 2800fps need to be 3" high at 100, for 3" high at 200, zero at 250, 5" low at 300. Using this method I have been lucky enough to only use 7 shots to sight in the last 3 rifles I have scoped - 2 shots at 25, and then a 5 shot group on the button at 100.

No I think its as its meant to be 4 clicks to inch at 100m.VC
Took a full turn on elevation to get it on paper & same again to get to bull.
Only minor adjustment laterally of a few clicks
Gun control means using both hands
