@stug
Yep, we had 4 guys, a 458 win mag, 404 Jeffery and 2 9.3x62's. There is a video on you tube called "big bore shoot" or something similar.
Great video! Just contemplating the future when the CZ turns up!
whoever was shooting that husky got mauled by a charging lion :)
Not as easy as you'd think, but bloody good fun!
Good to watch again Stug . should do again sometime maybe a few more member could come along
The 375 H&H is needing a good day out
Yep would be good to do again, haven't had the big rifles out for a while.
Would it be worth seeing how much interest there is for another Big Bore Shoot ?
Or who would be interested ?
May as well. it has been nearly a year to the day,
Well you can count me in again. Now that I have the fire power
Im keen, just depends on dates
Me too depending on dates
Chuck some dates out there folks, do we want to try for the same place or somewhere different?
I'd be keen but dependent on the arrival of the CZ from the States!
I'm sure the same place would be happy to host us again. But I would be happy to travel if it was more convenient for others
Most weekends would suit
Most any weekend with a bit of notice would be good for me , really enjoyed the last one.
Ahem, that would be me I think,
Stug very generously didn't show that I completely missed the first longer target and therefore ran out of ammo by the 25yrd mark
I assure you I would have had that lion with my Pfeifer Zeliska .600 Nitro Express revolver
Before he came within 5yards.
.
Yep, sounds like just the type of shooting to get my Sharps hot, mind you will have to wait till the smoke clears to see if the elephant is down. I could come down with my caravan and stay the weekend if its ok and may have to put wheels on my sharps, but have shooting sticks as well. Would be good if in the Waikato area. Homebrew.357. P S, that's if a 45-70 is allowed, a 420gr lead bullet is not to be sniffed at.!
Brain fart, I thought Waikiki was north Island,:o.
Don't matter mate, I'm sure there are a few Northerners have some large bores, maybe you could get some interest and hold one up that way
we could even have a Big bore postal shoot
@homebrew.357 maybe you should stick to a the Big Bore Shoot down South in Waitaki before thinking about Waikiki where I think the girls always win the Big Bazooka competitions
Non I was right, just a bit to far to tow the caravan,,

Hi Guys
I'm still keen on another day out with the big guns March is going to be a bit busy for me but would April suit any of you guys ?
Suits me Harry
April may be ok with me
Hi Guys
I was working today on the station we shot last year
He would be happy to host us again if we want to have another go
Station is located a short way up the Hakataramea just out of Kurow
for those intrested
Set a date Harry and see who can make it.
This will get the juices flowing, interesting choice of shot placement. Not sure if he was good or lucky.

How would the Sat 22nd or Sat 29th April same place as last year suit
I would prefer Sat 29th, but could make Sat 22nd.
Ok sat 29th April it is who else is interested
Me to, have to get the duck shooting prep out the way before then .
