Thread: head games

After recently having had a near miss /reloading mishap causing rifle to be destroyed,my mind has been battling with getting back on horse ,so to speak.....
I have had some re tweaked reloads sitting on bench for two weeks now, just waiting for me to "get around" to shooting them....had plenty of time,had plenty of oppertunities....just couldnt find motovation to do so.
tonight after a pep talk from a good mate (you know who you are) I finally went and poked some holes in paper....no issues at all,once first shot had been fired,all was good again in my mind.

years back I had bad spell with the dreaded "rhymes with grinch",HATED shooting paper,at all,rezeroing rifle was a chore.... my reloads were mild...very mild looking back.....then I fitted suppressors and got back into rhythem of things...rifles dont bite,dont kick,reloads got hotter again and have had 8 happy years,then recent hiccup bought all the old fears back in spades.
had to do same thing all over again....think it through,
rifle will boot a little,
it will make noise,
all will be fine,
suck it up buttercup,
concentrate on sight picture,
super steady,
squeaze off the shot....
breath again
