lewis lead remover
ok , so I was told about the "lewis lead remover" from a fellow shooter today , came home googled it , watched some porn then watched some you tube action on the remover ... its a pull thru designed to scrub the lead out by using a metallic disk , it looks awesome , and I effing want one ..... anyone seen one in NZ .... I know brownalls have them ,,,, ......but , anyone seen em here?
-
Been there, seen that. Much like yourself, I heard about how great they were by someone who used them. Then I asked around and nobody else was using them. Why could that be??? Eight years, and many thousands of lead projectiles later (Cowboy Action Shooting) I cant say I've ever needed one.

I used a copper scouring pad wrapped around a copper brush and it got rid of the lead pretty good today , .... buuuuut ... I did just order one of the lewis lead removers ...... just had too ....... just had ....to

Logically thinking, wouldn't it be better to tackle the cause of the problem, ie soft lead projectiles pushed too fast through the barrel? Just a thought.
Anyway, Brownells will be pleased with you, after all, someone has to buy them!

Nah you did the right thing stumpy - if it's shit then we'll all know
If I buy something that turns out to be a lemon then I'll happily fess up to it so that no other poor sod chucks their good money after my bad, as it were.
On a positive note regarding silly sounding accessories I got an UpLula for the pistol and it is bloody good- so much so that I got a PMagLula for the rifle. Works really well.
