    * comb is quite low (again easily fixed with a stock pack or comb pad)
    * bottom plastic is way to weak (hg precision make a fantastic ally upgraded bottom metal)
None of these things are deal breakers, for me the biggest issue was the weak bottom plastic and I replaced that immediately.
These rifles are built for a purpose, and they fit very well for that purpose.
Yeah the one I had my hands on wasn’t too bad for l.o.p for me personally, would probably still need a spacer/thicker recoil pad.
I’m hoping low rings will fix the comb issue but I’m prepared to fit a comb pad
And the bottom plastic was a new issue to me but as Ryan earlier on in this thread mentioned the bottom plastic swapped out for a alloy one makes a world of difference so I’m factoring that into my budget.
All in all it seems like if you get a good one they are a bloody good… I’m just after something that shoots Moa on factory ammo that will be carried a lot more then shot and will be as light as possible doing it.

It won't, but it's easily fixed, I'm running Talley low rings which is as low as you can get with the superlite and it's still too high for the factory comb. Accutech makes a universal printed raised Comb that fits nicely.

I’d still like to think all said and done I’ll be sub $3000 and around the 2.5kgs mark all scoped and suppressed?
I’ve got my own scope and will hunt out a second hand dpt

Kimber haven’t produced rifles for 4? Years, focused on pistols. They are scarce and dear. If cheap there is a reason.

Feedback on the howas vary, average stocks impacting shoot ability for some. Others pretty happy.

I have handled a few tikkas from the old t3 to the T3x lite, the 16” 308 bush hunter is the closest to what I’m after but it still weighs in at close to 3kgs, might be what works for you but not what I’m after.

With the Superlite and Kimber I've been shooting recently Ive found the slim barrel heating thing is a bit overstated.

The reason the two I've had ""opened up" are its very difficult to remain consistent over 9 or ten rounds. I didn't try it so much with the Superlite, but the Kimber will literally stack them in one hole "sometimes" for 9 shots, other times I get fliers. I've got enough 9 shot (3 mags of 3 rounds) groups from it now to see a clear pattern, only about 1/3 of the time can I do my bit.

The VERY important take home from this is you need to be very practiced with these light rifles to get good results from them wether hunting or on the range.

Is there a lot of weight to be saved in the stock of a t3x lite?

If there’s a 5lb tikka in budget it’s definitely an option… but it seems like the price of a t3 then the price of a carbon stock vs buying a howa Superlite… Howa would be cheaper and lighter?

Yep your right lighter cheaper but is it better ?? .just few days ago I sold a hardys suppressor to a guy who bought a brand new howa and 5 shots in it put a bullet right through the suppressor. Faulty rifleing ,they replaced brand new rifle .he left it at store walked out with a tikka . Not saying how's are bad but in my experience Tikka are dam hard to beat .they just do what they should every time . Buy once cry once .
For the record I like the howa superlight. And look forward to the day I can get my hands on one to give it a try .still wouldn't sell my Tikka for it
