The full bore guys in Blenheim will let you shoot f class with them. I was going to but never got around to it. they are good guys and good shooters. you can take scoped guns and shoot with them. they go out to 900yards

Dave,just check the NRA website for club contact details. Definitely out Christchurch and Blenheim way, not sure about the coast.

Umm No. Learned a lot shooting in the wind there. I shot fullbore there a fair bit in the mid 80's. Had a big bugger called Don Whiteman iirc as a coach. Really enjoyed it when the Army funded and encouraged everything. Bean counters entered the forces and funding finished.

Already planning an F-class rig with Abe. What are you using for a rig Rube?

I got a tikka sporter .308 and took a PMII 5-25 off another rifle here planning on starting out shooting F-TR but I went over for a look last weekend and shot ok off a sling doing so I'm going to go down that route instead after being persuaded by the guys.
There was guys shooting F-TR there but the vibe of the place was more about straight TR shooting off a sling.

Are they doing this sort of thing in Christchurch, It sound like a lot of fun to get into. especially the 22lr stuff, I'm way to poor to be putting that much 308 down range,

I am not aware of an event like this in Christchurch yet but there is nothing stopping someone putting one on.
