A local has a 1200m set up (judging from the crack-thump-gong! I hear), and on some weekends I hear him banging away for a few hours, with time off to possibly tweak his brew, or let things cool down. Once I saw what he was using I did some quick calcs, and those few hours behind the rifle would be a couple of hundred $ worth of primers powder and projos. To get seriously good at long range shooting is going to cost you big $$
