Taught my two to shoot, when I was working at Marsden Point oil refinery expansion back in the early 80's.
They learned how dangerous firearms could be when being played with, and Dad not there.
PM me if you want to know how I taught this valuable lesson.
They used to like going out for a walk with Dad, but never really followed a shooting interest.
Neither are that interested in guns, but know (even now), when a firearm is being used in a dangerous manner, or is in a potentially lethal condition - unsafe, possibly loaded, etc.
Very happy that they still remember my lessons after 30+ years.
Great to see the enthusiasm displayed by the youngster, and Dad's safe gun handling.![]()
