I start at 10m for first shot when setting up a new rifle. I dont use a collimator.

thanks mate, yeah it was all a bit rushed n excited for the first time i could use it but was fun. im making a bench n the old man wants to make a mound to lay prone. iv got a couple of sand bags n the corflute will help for sighting as well. looking forward to the next outing
