    Lightbulb Rifle range near Wanganui

    Hi

    I am driving from Auckland to Wanganui this Friday (18th April) and would like to confirm that my rifle has held the Zero in transit.

    Are there any rifle ranges where i can take a couple of shots before i head hunting?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks Grant. I changed my loads on Saturday and used a new powder, so i might need to sight in the rifle again.

    not sure if there is a range near wanganui you can use but there is a new zealand deerstalkers range in Taupo on mountain road you just need to put $2 into the honesty box climb over the fence using the styles there and head over to the range and set up a target.

    Yes there is a range in Wanganui, it is just before you get to the airport. I have only shot there for competition though and am not sure the club rules about some random person just turning up and shooting

    The Taupo range seems shit hot. Should have more like that plotted around the country

    Stopping by at the NZDA Taupo range tomorrow. The Club contacts confirmed that anyone can shoot there by paying $2 in the honesty box. We need more such ranges around the country.

    does any one know how many yards you can shoot from at the taupo range? just want to get a ruff idea. might head over this weekend to sight in my hunting rifle.

    Taupo has a 100m range. They also have a 200m range but you would need to ensure there was no one in the pistol club or the running boar range. If there was no one in front of the 200m range you could use that.
