If they sold a stainless one with the wooden stock I'd be all over it like a rash, as it is I'll probably end up with a wood/blued 11 LWH in the safe at some stage as I much prefer the feel and shape of the wooden stock to the synth LWH.

Ive got a wood blue one in 223. Love it. Doesn't seem to rust, but I look after it with an oily rag.

With Savage model numbers, 11 means blued short action and 16 means stainless short action (111 & 116 for blued & stainless long action).

The lightweight hunter comes in both types, but just to confuse you other versions also share the 11 and 16 model numbers as that number mostly just relates to the action.
