You can also contact Schmidt and Bender Germany direct via their website with the serial number and they can give you a date of manufacture and if its been returned for service. I contacted them this week regarding changing the elevation turret to an exposed type. They passed my inquiry onto Klaus Pommer at KP Agencies in Auckland who was most helpful and gave me some of the info I posted here.
