    Been abandoned for ages.

Maybe if we offered them $100, they'd take it?
100yrds is a good start, would like 300-500yrds

    Interesting article.

Ive long thought about setting up an underground shooting alley on our land here in Cambridge.

We are on the ancient Waikato riverbed so its all sandy and prebble down quite a distance under the grass. One big natural sinkhole.

Dig a open trench 105 yards long.2 metres in depth and a shade under 1.2 metres wide. the extra 5 yards you can widen for the shooting area for comfort.

Top with light framing and line the top with 7ply etc. 100 metres cost is 38 1/2 sheets @ $100 = around $3850. Framing and supports would be free as I already have enough for it.

Cover the ply with the sod you dug out and stick the sheep back in the paddock. Instant camo. possibly concrete pad halfway for tractor access.

No one would know what the hell you have there and the sod would mute the sound. no wind, and heat difference would be bugger all as well.

Hatches both ends for getting in and out of,accessing targets etc with small shed built on entrance.

Small extractor fan just behind the shooter to extract gasses etc

Small 1000 Gph bilge pump on auto would keep it dry.

    Sort the lighting out etc

    Cost would be f all.

Have to send the missus away on holiday whilst its being done though...

Why not just bury a length of some type of plastic or conc pipe! Now I have two strings of lights if anyone's interested? Takes standard light bulbs, endless cable to send and return targets, GOOD extraction fan a must! Like the old shooting alleys at the A&P shows, yeah back in the days when every photo was in B&W
    Boom, cough,cough,cough
