Thread: Shooting help

Hi guys,

Was shooting a Mosin Nagant at Deer Stalker range and can't for the life of me work out what is going on. My guess is that someone has filed the front sight peg too low.

If I shoot the gun on a rest @50m it shoots about 4 inches high. That is with the factory slide sight all the way to the back. If I then fire it at 100m it never hits target. I have tried aiming at the bottom at the top of the target to see if i can get a hit. If it is 4" high at 50m where would one expect it to hit at the 100m? Low or High?
