Is that speed chronographed? 2800 seems a little slow, I'm getting 2850 out of my factory length tikka with factory Hornady whitetail 150gr. Agree with above rule of thumb, 2" high at 100m = bang on at 200

I posted that rule of three...... yes go 2" high at hundy.....
tell you what
go to www.huntingnut
then up on left hand side bar you will see
pointblank online
click in there.
enter in the details you just showed...B.C. velocity etc
then enter it...you will get pretty curve and hard data at bottom...its easy, its free AND most importantly you can see WHY your sight in height matters...tootoo with sight in range..change it heaps and watch where bullet will be at different ranges....it will be plainly obvious where makes most sense
EG for my .223 it made more sence for me to be 1.5" high at hundy for the ranges I normally shoot.
50m zero generally on again @ 200 and 3in high @ 100
The speeds they put on the box, or on the internet info are basically, always worked off a 24" barrel, and in 308s case with a 1/12 twist. So your Tikka will have a 1/11 twist and a 22 inch barrel, so you can expect to loose ~ 150 fps, which changes things slightly.
As mentioned before By GP have to tune each load and rifle by testing at distance, it's the only way.
That app is confusing stating inches then cm.
As above everyone elses comments.
Non magnum non dial I zero at 200y ....generally 2inch or close to high at 100y
Dialable scope I zero at 100 but walk around with 2moa dialed on for quick no need to range it shots sub 300y
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.
308Win One chambering to rule them all.
did you manage to get pointblank to work for you bud???
I tend to ignore the charts and diagrams and with a new rifle, I shoot a group at 50m, 100, and 200m. You might go through a packet of ammo, but you get the confidence of knowing where your rifle shoots at each distance. Then practice at estimating those distances.
Here's me shooting an 100m sighted in at 200M

yards or meters , inch's or cm's - noticed sako app is in mrad, yards and inch's are you shooting at yards and is your scope in mrad's or moa, i use strelok pro and its adjusted for my exact scope and moa and load so
when i change rifles i create a new profile and set all the parameters to match the gun/scope/ammo and what i use , meters for range, fps for speed and ft/lb for energy, moa or mrad whatever the scope is.
Most rifle ranges as you probably know are 100m just wanting to make sure your data is the same as the app like you were shooting at 100yards not meters and scopes in mrad not moa?
