Thread: Subsonic 22lr going supersonic?

That's weird. I've never had the subsonics go supersonic on me. A few other brands, yes, but never CCI.

You might try CCI Quiet .22. That stuff is only 710fps. CCI Subsonic is 1050fps, and CCI Standard is 1070fps.

I have been going over several calculations and cannot find any way in which the 1050fps of the CCI Subsonic would hit the sound barrier due to atmospheric conditions.

As you note, it may be due to your longer barrel. Do you have access to a chronograph? I'm very interested in this.
