    G'day all

    Hey guys and girls I recently found this forum and joined up. I'm pushing 50yrs and took up hunting [deer] 3-4yrs ago. Through my teen's 20's and 30's I was a keen tramper but then had a family and had little time in the outdoors until taking up hunting. Most of my trips are in Arthurs Pass, the Lewis or Kaikoura. But I don't get out that often and success is still the exception rather than the rule! Cheers all

    Welcome footsore. Enjoy the forum. There are a number of members in your neck of the woods.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
