    Hello from North Waikato

Male, mid-fifties, little boring, in respect of I enjoy my own company and staying home on Friday nights.

Have been shooting a little over forty years and am currently employed full time doing so for work.

Nothing beats the thrill of a well-placed shot.

Love my air guns and rimfire rifles yet have never owned centrefires or shotty's, what am I missing out on?

What are you missing out on, possibly a smaller bank balance.

You are missing out on two of the longest standing debates:

    - What is the best all-around calibre for New Zealand hunting?
    - What is the best brand/model of centrefire rifle to buy?

For goodness sake don't ask either of those questions on this forum, its already to been discussed here, lots, and tends to snowball!

    Cheers,

    Hugh

With PCP air rifles running at $2k plus I think I may have already unlocked this achievement ;-)

Sounds much like the air rifle guys asking which calibre is best...

Also which is the best most accurate and powerful air rifle...

Just how long is a piece of string?

My current powder burners include a CZ455, Anschutz 1415, Weihrauch HW60 Jagd Match and a very nice Savage BVT

At least my current predilections give me lots of trigger time.
