I hear that it's a bit warmer down there, possibly a bit more rainy too. Would love to visit but that will have to wait a few years due to finances!

I get my little bit of stalking free from local landowners that are happy for deer numbers to be kept in check. Lots of people pay for stalking also.
That's no good. 200 bucks per deer is probably expensive enough that it'd be cheaper just to buy it without the hassle of stalking them.

so glad I live here where I can drive 20 min from home an shoot a deer with not much effort at times and all it costs me is some petrol a bullet and a lil bit of time that would otherwise be spent doing nothing

Welcome mate. Was lucky to spend a few years poking around your neighbourhood, based in Dalwhinnie and Inverness. Shot a good few roe and reds there, lovely wee deer them roe.

Cheers, mate. Worked on a sheep and cattle farm in Strathnairn (not far from Dalwhinnie) about 10 years back when I first arrived here. Still shoot the odd Sika over that way

Cool. I drove through there yesterday on my way back from a successful hunt near Inverness.
