    Hello from the US 👋🏻

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chase, and I’m from Utah. 30 years old, avid western big game hunter and outdoorsman.

For years now I’ve been wanting to come to NZ to hunt Tahr. Actually had a trip planned for May, 2020… thanks to Covid, that did not happen. Currently I have a flight booked for May, 2023. Fingers crossed that I can make it down this time.

I look forward to chatting with you guys over the months to come. Hopefully learn a thing or two to help me find success when I hit the southern alps.

I have a good amount of experience chasing elk, and mule deer across the west. So if anyone is planning a trip to the US, feel free to DM me and I’ll help you out as best as I can!

Did you have contacts in NZ for your 2020 hunt?
Yeah I have a few local guys in NZ I talk to fairly regularly on my social media. They have been a great help 👍🏻

Hey Chase, welcome along. Ogden eh? I visited there a few years back for the Browning Collectors Association convention. Some pretty cool stuff to see and do around there and Morgan.

Welcome aboard......Utah is one of our favourite states....Bingham copper mine, Hills Air force museum and Bryce Canyon spring to mind. And of course the Browning Museum....never knew Browning was a car nut.

Welcome and enjoy. There is some good content on YouTube regarding Tahr hunting over here. I recently watched one by a fellow countryman of yours on a trip he did here recently which was a good watch. I will post a link when I find it.
