    Mid life adventures

    Greetings team
New to the forum. Started getting into hunting over past 12 months as extra reason to enjoy the wealth of NZ scenery and to encourage my boys to fall in love with the outdoors. Based in Deep South. Looking forward to continuing to learn!
    Cheers

You won't regret it. I got into hunting bigger game in the last few years (now 49yo) after starting young hunting rabbits, turkeys and possums. "Lost my way" with hunting for a bit when I got into surfing, fishing and having kids of which the latter seemed to become a full time job there for a while. Then a good mate got me into deer hunting and I got hooked right away. My two boys now love it too, especially being able to provide meat for the Family, a real sense of accomplishment which both my boys have now been able to enjoy. You are doing a good thing for your lads getting them out there.
Keep fit so you can keep up with your boys, and all the best with your adventures. I look forward to hearing some of your stories on the forum.

Thanks Clappy. My lads are still in that primary school age, so thought now is a good time for me to learn the basics and up skill so I am ready to hunt with them safely in a couple of years when they become physically capable of bigger adventures. And young children gotta eat, so meat trips have a very real appeal!!

    Welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
