Lightbulb Fresh Hunter on the Block

    Hi Everyone,

Fresh hunter here, started hunting young in the early 90s with my God Father then nothing until around 6 years ago.

Slowly getting into it now alone or with already established hunters.

Just thought I’d chuck it out there, I’m on a search for any Central North Island and/or Waikato spots to drop a few goats for dog tucker? I know they are out there but if anyone can offer and advice on areas that are choca-block would be nice to go for a weekend and stock the freezer for the pups.

    Cheers

Welcome to the forum, plenty of spots in the central area mate. Go online grab a DOC permit, select the area where you want to start, all the maps are there. There is no shortage of deer on PCL land. Take your time, keep your eyes moving, grab a good pair of binos sit and glass. You will either bump into one or two or see them, plan your stalk be weary of the wind. Good luck.
