@GunnaZA
Welcome to the best Hunting and Shooting Forum on the Net.
If your looking for some run n gun activities then the obvious choice is IPSC and 3 Gun events.
Once your settled in NZ you can apply to the Local Police for a Firearms Licence and Join a Pistol Club.
Your Firearms Licence allows you to posses Rifles and Shotguns only, however with the correct security installed in your home you can also possess Endorsed Firearms.
These being:
"B" endorsement, allowing you to possess Pistols for competition use.
"C" endorsement allows you to collect a wide range of restricted firearms, however these firearms are not allowed to be used, just collected.
"E" endorsement allows you to possess and use Military Style Semi Automatic Rifles (MSSA's)
"F" endorsement allows you to become a Firearms dealer.
Check out our firearms licencing laws here.

To gain your "B" endorsement you will need to be a member of a Pistol Club and have the support of that Club after a probationary period to apply for this endorsement.

Hope this helps.
