Didn't see any live sharks when I was on the Chathams didn't see any live sharks but the guy we were staying with had some photos of huge sharks that had been caught there over the years.Later that year his deckhand was bitten by a shark and survived. the radio tagging done there was interesting many whites travelled hundreds of mile up into pacific and returned back to Chathams

That was a great programme to follow.
I remember one Mako they tagged and I think her name was Carol. I'd check in daily online to see where she was. She did some huge miles.
She would live around and area for a while. Often the Bay Of Islands. Then all of a sudden bugger off to Tonga, then head back and end up off Christchurch.
Really interesting.
