Well insulated rabbits:)
The unit dynamically adjusts the thermal scale, so the hottest objects are white. Just unfortunate that these cows run hotter than the surrounding rabbits. When the cows are not present, the rabbits really "pop" :D
The quality of these thermal pictures is outstanding. I suppose I have relatively cheap thermal viewer.
This hind walked in to 15m from me. IQ has degraded going from the device to my phone to my lap top to here.

so can one of you fellas with this tech try something for me please???/
see if a red/green lazer dot projected onto animal etc shows up in thermal???
the redneck rangefinder idea REALLY holds merit if it does.
bugger...
Gota have heat Micky and some.
Infirays FH25R has a laser pointer in it. Its on the same button as the range finder, you just hold it down a little longer. When looking to range a small mob of deer a wile ago I was a little perplexed when they suddenly bolted, untill I realized I had turned the laser pointer on and had been waving it over them. They did not like it at all.
Attachment 238807Watched these young fallows early evening last night for about 30minuts,130yds away.Originally pic was perfect, had to down size it to get on here.I wanted bigger deer to take home so shot 2 red spikers this morning as sun was rising in their faces.Sorry no photos.
A few that I inadvertently managed to take, fumbling with buttons in the dark. I'm slowly learning this stuff.
Nice spiker wandering along river bed edge then fell over for a nice photo.

Heard this wee one just up behind camp yesterday. Mum came and picked her up some time during the day when we were sheltering from the summer heat here in the Kaimanawas :)

Something a bit different.
I will be able to contribute to this thread now. Just got one of Ken’s Xinfraray lenses for my iPhone for Christmas.

Here are a couple of horses with covers on out behind the stables so 100 - 120 metres away
Attachment 240202
And here are some cattle beasts a little over 475 metres away on a neighbours property
Attachment 240203
I am fairly certain that in my haste to take the cattle I failed to properly focus and also I was only hand holding my phone and didn’t have it mounted on the stick/bracket.
You are hooked for the night shift now.No sleep for you, enjoy
Nice that you have left the lat/long in the bottom left corner too. Will be really helpful for everyone when you start posting photos of game animals!!
Sorry but we’ve already got 3 (3 too many in my opinion) horses here - perhaps you would like some more?
I could hear these Turkeys outside but couldn’t see them.
Attachment 240582
They were in the long grass 120 yards from my front door.
Attachment 240584
Some cattle 220 yards away. This time taken on my iPad as I downloaded the software to that as well.

40 Yards pitch black, wet as night with a mates toy, Im told its older tech now

Photos taken a minute apart - cattle detected at around 700m
A clip from the Arken Zulus day/night 'scope. 7.30pm last night. Range 152 yards. Starts at 5 power, flicks to maybe 20 and then back down to 12. Not too bad for $1,400. Apology for the dog panting in my ear.
I was pretty sure she had a fawn cos she kept ducking into the scrub.
