If the brake on your 243 isn't reducing recoil it is an ornament not a brake....
A good brake will make a noticable difference on any calibre even a .223.
I could fire my 308 Montana single handed with a T2 on it
it reduces bugger all now i have taken it off, i am not even bothering to brake my 264 Winmag. even with 95gr sst the 243 kicks bugger all an ornament is the best way to disscribe the brake. plus i am not wearing earmuffs hunting just to have a muzzlebrake
