What calibre twists contours?
Ordered some gear before Easter from Invercargill to be couriered to Central Otago by Peter Baker Ltd. It is still not here but the tracking shows it left Invercargill to Christchurch, back to Invercagill, back to Timaru, then to Christchurch, now it is back in bloody Invercargill! Where will they send it tomorrow!! The box contains some delicate electronics and I am a bit worried about all the handling. What breed of incompetent fools do they employ?
Back on track again, busy courier this morning, should see him tomorrow as well :)
7mm day today, some nice shiny Bartlein's, two lots of sisters (sequential serial #) #2B & #3 & a 24" Proof Carbon.

840 grams for the LA Magnum & 850 for the LA Lapua Magnums so very little, if any heavier than a Rem 700 or Tikka action

There are some Proof Barrels available from a local distributor which I can get a little cheaper than importing them at the moment.
Thing is there isn't many, only certain calibres, lengths & I doubt they will last long
Considering the length of time it took them to get these ones it will be months & months not weeks for the next shipment or custom ones to show up. :oh noes:
I ordered these ones on the 6th of this month
Some more shiny Bartleins & a Defiance Deviant Hunter this morning
http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/...pscbxxzkr4.jpg
I ordered the action on the 7th & barrels on the 12th of this month, pretty good turn around at the moment :)
These very nice bushing die sets arrived this morning
http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/...pseezpxhp1.jpg
I decided to invest in these for my next 7 Blaser Magnum builds, while they still aren't cheap due to the crappy dollar :oh noes:
They are still cheaper than the Redding sets I had been using :)
Bright & shiny & black & shiny this morning
http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/...psh6xjwrr0.jpg
Just under 4 weeks from ordering they are here :)
I have just had a great courier experience. The courier saw that that the parcel was from a gun shop and since i wasnt home came back after his work hours had officially finished to drop it off in case is was firearms/parts/ammo.
In fact it was spare parts for spotlights so just electronic components.
Congrats to that guy, they arent all idiots
More nice shiny Bartleins & proper Carbon Fibre barrels this morning :)
