    $1499 AR15's

We able to offer New Zealands most affordable AR15 - the Mossberg MMR Hunter. We only have one sample model available at this stage but more will be on the way shortly.

Mossberg MMR Hunter [mmrhunter] - $1,499.90 : NZAR15.COM, Home of the sporting Semi Auto

Mossberg is pleased to offer MMR Hunter rifles with advanced features specifically-designed for the avid predator, varmint and small game hunters. The MMR's direct-impingement gas system allows for reliable, smooth operation. Increased accuracy is assured thanks to a free-floating, button-rifled, 20" carbon steel barrel. Designed with hunters in mind, the MMR has a slender, aluminum checkered forend that offers a traditional fit and feel. The traditional A-2 style buttstock is fit with a stud and swivel for the ease of attaching a sling. The MMR features an oversized charging handle for quick, ambidextrous engagement and a Stark SE-1 one-piece pistol grip with battery storage in the grip plug. Black phosphate/anodized finish. 1:9 rate of twist. Includes a 5-round magazine.

    Ive received a pm stating...
"You should be mentioning about how they are about to become E-Cat and they may need to spend money on a thumbhole or getting E endorsment, it is very irresponsible not mentioning it."

...and this person is correct. Those of you who follow the firearms laws will have heard that the Arms Ammendment Bill for MSSA's had its third reading Thursday last week and was passed in Parliament. Only NZ First and Act voted against it due to some loopholes etc. My understanding through the grapevine is that it has been signed off. So where does this leave us? Who knows. We were notified the Mossberg (this threads topic) was approved by NZ Police for import a few days ago. I have heard a few rumours as to what is going to happen for those that own AR's but it is not my position to pass those on and be misconstrued as fact. I would suggest consulting with your AO. In the meantime until notified otherwise we can still sell these as A-Cat and we can still import them approved by NZ Police as A-Cat.

I would like to clarify the situation more but cant. I would suggest the next few months are going to be interesting. We are almost sold out of AR's and have another shipment arriving next week. Sales of AR's over the last week are through the roof - I suspect customers are attempting to make a last minute purchase before the Police start on a marketing campaign in regards to mssa law change.

I belive there will be some NZ thumbhole stock options available to customers.

The government isn't interesting in shooters or their interests. All it is interested in is its own power. Keeping it and expanding it where possible. My personal opinion, of course.

I think the police will make their position known in the new year.

It appears they also come in 308, can you get these at this price as well?

I would be all over them in 308 if they were available. Obtaining guns in the USA at the moment is difficult due to supply. Our contact has a handfull of the 223 version set aside for us.

Hi Digit, i bought one of your DMRs a few months back, i know 'the bill' has just gone through and i'm not trying to be 'knee jerk', but if it alls goes pear shaped, will you be importing 'Monsterman grips' from the states, so we can make ARs a 'sporting configuration'?

GC want $199 for theres, and Brownells in the states sell them for US$45, thumbholes could have to go.......

I have one monsterman that I purchased on trademe over a year ago for around $85. I imagine that the market will meet demand and you will see these reappearing over the next month or so at reasonable prices. We hope to have a nice thumbhole option available at some stage.

Hey Ken, once the dust settles will you still be bringing in ARs, in the new A Cat form whatever that will be. Will probably be a shortage of ARs in the states. Looks like Obamba should get an award for being the greatest gun salesman for 2012/2013.
