I'm a bit sad you didn't care enough to notice that was a classic candy apple red.

Mix glow powder with clear epoxy or nail polish.
If you want some, I have plenty and can send you some.

I found an old roll of glow tape in my possuming kit.
Will cut a tiny strip and try it out when I have time to see if it is overpowering or ok

If any good I will go the glow powder and clear nail polish route

I just did these two tests

45-60 50 grains 1 1/2 FG Black powder 350 grain PC Cast lead bullets.
    30m from a leaning bench

Bottom group was shot first and wiped clean between each shot. So shot number 1 could be called cold bore / fouler

Top group was shot without cleaning between shots. But was shot at about 1 minute intervals similar to the time it took to clean and shoot during the first group.
I will re shoot this group again soon as a clean cold bore hunting group and see what its real world usefulness.

Bear in mind that the sights while excellent for snap shooting are not great for target or long range accuracy.

@Marty Henry You talking about me or the rifle ? !

Seems happy at least to shoot clean or dirty well enough for the intended large target species

I get told to change in the boot room and have a shower before going inside if I had a bit of a BP session especially if it's been with the muzzle loaders.

Clean cold bore 30m proof of concept shot this evening

First shot ever at an animal so happy with the entire project

Reload all the cases from todays range session and hunting and go look for something bigger

Today i put 4 cold bore clean shots on target at various ranges to check bullet drop for hold over.

25 and 50m are perfectly on point of aim and suit my purpose

70m and 95m are easy to hold over for

I will test out to 150m because the sights might be good for that if needed and useful to know for follow up shots

White blade sight was hard to use on light target background in the longer shots
But should be ok on a red deer
And blade looks wider than the bull at 95m

So make the bull wider, it's only about 50 mm, double the size or maybe even triple it. The target area on a deer shoulder is about 200 mm at any range
