About LinkBacksis a 700 rem the same? got a 600 243 that I'm playing with but it may need a new or s/h barrel. Its a 243 at the moment but would consider something else that uses the same bolt face. I have a 30 06 low mileage ruger american barrel that I could possibly get the chamber end shortened and go 308..
