    first go at checkering

Managed a couple of crossed lines but over all reasonably happy for first attempt.
Pretty steep learning curve but sure the next one will come out better (I have 4 more to do)
A couple of pics of laminated stock I made for m77 mk2 in 22 creedmoor

That looks really, really good. Well done.
Well done on making the stock too. You say the stock is laminated, but it looks like solid timber from what I see ...??
[MENTION=19653 @nevereadyfreddy Could you post pics of the entire stock for a better look please ? @nevereadyfreddy

Is epoxy laminated kauri ,epoxy coated and primed with 2 pot finish.

Some picks of 3 walnut stocks I made last year.
The pale one (m77 mk2) is going to get refinished. I dont know why it came out like that.
    The others are cz 527.
Hope to get onto checkering them this year. (not 28 lpi yet)

Many thanks for those pics. The stocks look amazing. Good enough to be commercial products.

hey, excellent craftsmanship. Stocks look professional!
I made a stock myself once, was quite o.k. but I failed with the checkering.

Wow, those look fantastic. Nice work on the checkering, it's not easy and most don't have the patience for it. I have checkered a couple of stocks and it will take a very special project to get me to do another. Thanks for sharing.

    Hi guys.
Thanks for all the positive comments .
Giving me a bit of incentive to get started checkering another stock.
Got plenty of other stuff that has to be done unfortunately and (like everyone) fishing/hunting obligations as well haha.
    Cheers NRF
