    Gunsmith training????

Hi all, I am interested in learning more about gunsmithing. Where is a good place to start? I don't necessarily wish for a career in gunsmithing (I already have one and am getting a bit old to start over again!) but just want to know if there's any courses out there or any way to improve my knowledge and skills so I can do some good quality home builds, things like re-barelling, reloading, restoration work etc.

    Cheers!

A small machine shop would be my guess. Failing that find a gunsmith and pick up a broom. Also theres midway channel on utube aswell as a host of others .

Sounds like Joining the Army's out of the question then.

Search You Tube for "Larry Potterfield Midway USA"

He has heaps of gunsmithing video tips.

    Cheers

    Gun smithing DVD.

it might be worth having a look at "How-to" Gun smithing, dvd course. it is available from AGI - American Gunsmithing Institute. I have a sample dvd that I'm able to send if that is of any help.

I would suggest getting some machining skills prior to attempting anything major,it will serve you well and save you a bucket of money avoiding costly mistakes.

    Cheers Rob
