    Just fitted a new Oberndorf style bolt handle last night, the original was a bent over straight bolt and is too short and ugly. Dean Maisey supplied the blank.

    Oh dear, I would have thought that you would have had matched checkering i.e. both curved

    I did consider it, but as you can't really compare both sides at the same time I opted to go straight. Funnily enough most people have no idea until I point it out. I've chalked it up to experience and try not to dwell on it!

    Something you might have to consider with the forend though, may look funny on the left if the pistol grip is curved and the forend straight.

    You may have to continue the mistake through.
