In the Easy Steel catalog, under specialty steels, carbon hollow bar, E470 grade from memory.
Rough 14.5mm ID which I bored to 5/8" or .62 caliber. I should've gone slightly bigger, but it's more for a display piece that can also function. I have a couple of bits left that haven't been machined, I'll measure them tonight. The idea was decent wall thicknes, A, to look the part, and B, to provide loads of strength.
I'm really interested in rifling one, but don't really have much idea on doing so. Any info on rifling a 16mm and bigger bore, without costing a fortune, would be much appreciated. FYI, I'm by no means an engineer or machinist, but do have a tame engineer I can call on!
Look into electro etch rifling. It's about the only way I know of that doesn't require a heap of specialized equipment. A basic cut rifling machine could be knocked up if your very handy, but it would be a lot of work and a lot of learning for one barrel.
Electro etching then lapping can produce a rifled bore capable of spin stabilizing a projectile. You won't be winning any trophies with it, but it will spin a bullet. I have never done it myself, but have seen enough online to be convinced it's a legitimate method for a basic rifled barrel.

Fired it today at the range. Goes OK. Not a bad report with 100 grains of BP and a lead ball.
