Well it`s in the rusting stage at the mo, and it hasn't been near anyone's bum, just vinegar. Now will rub it down with wet cloth and a wash in baking soda to stop the rust. After that a hot rub down with lanolin to seal the surface, should look like it was made in 1868. May try to see if I can acid etch" Hawken plains rifle .45 cal " on it.
