Thread: Outside fire

Dads bbq we built together 31 years ago.



Can cook for 20 plus people on it and when finished a couple of guys with welding gloves on can lift the plate off then you can stack big lumps of firewood up in it like a brazier but bigger/better.

I replaced the chimney a couple of years ago but otherwise its as built all those years ago with junk off the farm.

Love it. What's the crank handle for? Controls air flow, or just for shits and giggles?

Mainly just for looks but it is the place to grab it and move it around(swing it up and lock it in) while going and hot if needed for whatever reason.

Air and wood goes in a large hole under the warming plate at the back.
