About LinkBacksSome Yanks did tests on basically heavy barreled 308 rem700 , and they came up with I think the 21.75 inche long being the best for accuracy , I think it was all around rigity with a curtain dia , may have bench rest guys , simply the shorter you go the more rigid the barrel will be .
However as you also want resonable velocity , its up to you to figure out what you are happy with .
