Thread: wanted barrel for .17 mach 2

Hi guys i tried to post this in the f/sale section but no go
im wishing to build a .17 m2 single shot , i know it reads on line this is a dead cartage etc but as ammo is still around
so need a barrel chambered for this please
or knowledge of a chamber reamer to do a 17 hmr barrel back to the 17m2 specs

@Rofey had Chris Murphy set back and ream a .17HMR barrel to HM2 on his CZ455

I have a made up bolt action Mach 11 rifle that has feeding issues that might work as a donor barrel for you.

Im just up the road an hour from you too .....

I use one on pest control and have 3k of rounds squirreled away. It's comparable to a 22 mag except for bullet mass. Only downside is it's loud and needs a suppressor or hearing protection

suppression is my thing and along with FSS [Darren ] we will get it done . have a highly mod. custom suppressor that has tamed the 17 WSM to a kitten
the 17 m2 is a 22 magnum base so the noise is going to be very much the same ,but in some respects better as the exit hole is smaller ,but the machining on the barrel and can has to be done to a very high precision [hence Darren ]

You can probably get a 17 cal liner and chamber it for the 17 MachII

working still in progress but have fitted it into a Trakr plastic chassis



rough bore sighted @ 75 m hard to see much via the .17 hole weather crap so free hand shot at 50m
adjust scope a couple of clicks the rest is history will fine tune scope another day

shot the first Wabbit the other day a lot quieter with the 16 inch barrel and modded over barrel suppressor
