Picked up a single barrel model Webley 100 16g a few months ago and very pleased how it shoots and the action is very nice the cocking feature also acts like a safety so recently I sold my rimfire and decided to look for a donor single barrel shotgun to make a single shot .22, I saw a parts gun in chch for $100 and it was another Webley so went and had a look
It was in a bit of a sorry state but action looked good so asked dealer if he would take $50 and yes he agreed, nice one.
Got in touch with one of the forum guys who has Anschutz barrels old but unused and got that off him for $40 so started
To do this project as the Webley 12g barrel was in a poor state so didn’t feel too bad about modifying the gun to take this new barrel. Gun cleaned up nicely the walnut stock drank heaps of my mix juice and is looking good, the action I stripped down and it all cleaned up good and only thing missing was the firing spring, not bad for a parts gun.
Turned up offset insert to hold the barrel and modified extractor come ejector and reblued . Action just a good clean and it’s
Case hardened so didn’t bother bluing that, one of the guys on the forum offered to lend me his .22lr reamer but I had one somewhere but after lol the searching decided to make another as might come in handy in the future.
Just need to decide what to do about sights, scope, open or small red dot, time will tell so now just need to get out there and give it an airing.Attachment 281309Attachment 281310
