    Lumps of lead.

    Hi,
Hopefully Im in the right department for this (sorry Mods, please move it if it isnt to where its better suited).

I have been cleaning out an old guys garage who has passed away and came across a box with a decent amount of lead (much of it made into small bars) in it and am wondering if there is someone in Christchurch who molds their own bullets and would like it.

    Cheers
    Ian

Depends n what its for and what its being shot from.

With my muzzleloader its pure lead as the projectile obturates ( expends ) into the rifling when the black powder charge goes off.

With breech loaders it can be harder lead as they can be sized down to the perfect size for a particular rifle and don't need to be as soft.

My soft lead 395 grain 50 cal projectiles are not that soft though.
Recently full pass through red stag in front of right shoulder and out last three left ribs ... so a reasonably long wound channel.

    3x Malcolm reproduction
    Mounts offset for hammer
Running it with a high recoil sliding front attachment so it has to be re set to battery after every shot.
    Basic unertl style mounts

Very good optics considering the value for money at around 350 US

Done. I will go over today and sort it out for you (there is quite a bit of other crap in the box). It will amount to a good few kilos anyway. Got your PM thanks and will sort out the details. Glad its found a new home, and a very worthy home looking at the photo above. Cheers
