    me too makros...lovely Rita is to blame here...... do agree its a dumb move leaving guns in plain sight in unattended vechille ..always has been though,we dont have the gun rack on back window culture the U.S.A. has and really it hasnt ever been a "thing" here even back in days when things were much less strict.

    I think you'll find that it has nothing to do with being a "back window culture" thing, at all.
    There are places that prohibit concealed carry, so they openly display - yes, it can be seen in the back window.

    ok then reword it to..we dont do the display on gunrack in back window thing here..... culture or not its the "done thing" over there and has been for many years..its not a "done thing" over here.

    We used to have rifles in the rear window when I was young? Not mention other unmentionables that would still incriminate me!

    Likewise.

    Until I saw a crashed vehicle with a rifle shaped hole in the windscreen.

    The car stopped rather suddenly- but the rifle didn’t, how it missed the drivers head I don’t know.

    Standard fitment of two rifle rack in rear window of all our work utes back in the day. Nobody took any notice.
    Times have changed and now people have been brainwashed "GUNS EVIL"
