One thing I had heard about the dyna bolt is some AO's measure the diameter of the bolt , a 10mm dyna bolt has an 8mm(?) bolt. the ones I measured a 12mm dyna bolt has a 10mm bolt.

Well.... this is definitely proved to be a real challenge, never done any of the heavy metal fella before![]()
@stug
Correct
The BOLT has to be 10mm in diameter, therefor you will need a 12mm Dyna Bolt if you choose this method of fixing.
@moonyading you may also use a concrete bolt that has a diameter of 10mm, these are available at mitre 10 and are easier to install than Dyna bolts.

Arguing with an Engineer is like Wrestling a Pig in Mud.
After awhile you realise the Pig loves it.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
@Rushy
Position you safe in its final place, drill the correct size hole with your masonry bit, screw the bolt in with a socket and a strong arm bar.
Jobs done.

I got my B endorsement signed by an AO at Manukau and she was definitely not a dude and extremely helpful. I guess it helped that I am the stud muffin I am.

Sound par for the course!
Boom, cough,cough,cough
I would make sure the AO is ok with concrete screws before you fit them for maximum ass coverage.
