FSA have put in a bunch of time with the Ministry of Justice people who have taken over the legislation.
I had hoped that Act's commitment to repeal Section 6 of the legislation would happen sooner rather than later, but it sounds as if it has been rolled up into the replacement Arms Act that is being developed at the moment. Last I heard, we are expecting to see a replacement Arms Act tabled by the end of this year.
FSA have been giving briefings to Minister McKee over the last few months.

I haven't heard how the review of the register is going.

I did think it was likely that the repeal and replacement of Section 6 and the repeal and replacement of the Arms Act would be rolled together for purely practical reasons. The review of the register could slow things down even more so we will see what happens over time.
