Ah, editors' discretion. Obviously they have a sense of proportionality. You know, some people just don't know when to shut the f--k up about something. You just watch.

Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

How is this relevant to NZ? Comparisons with America are not helpful in context of Israel or NZ. The constitutional right to bear arms only exists in America and a couple of other countries. America is no benchmark. In the big scheme of things, we're doing pretty good. Would I like see American gun culture here in NZ? In all honesty, no.

This actually backfires. I'd fear the man with a couple guns that he knows inside out than the one with a bunch of niche caliber safe queens that are barely sighted in

One of my dopey, usually intelligent, farmer mates said "no reason for city people to own a gun". Unfortunately, there a plenty of people who think the same. Does my head in.
I thought Tahr was just being open minded

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
