That should've read Nathan Watson not Foster. My bad as the youngsters say.

Idea should be floated to NZDA to jump in. Do the firearms related related course, and offer an accompanying hunting/outdoors course in a similar format with an intro to hunts courses?
Good idea AzumitH
Cant someone possibly get all the current guys to start up another org, would take a bit of work but what doesn't. Would be worth it and I bet there would be a lot of support for it. Its been done before. At least there would be a ready skill and volunteer base to work from. Then just ignore the msc management as a bad smell.
Apparently the Police top brass are fully supportive of the MSC new ideas.
When it starts to bite and new FAL applicants start lodging dissatisfaction of service reports perhaps.
Umm there is a new outfit delivering under contract from what I understand to the marae based firearms training and licsensing program comprised of of ex members of msc and mike spray (ex cop dude to do with firearms). I heard about it from a range officer two weeks ago and googled it. They're fair dinkum. Hopefully they can pick up the contract for the licensing and Hoover up all the people and knowledge out there.

A lot of the posts seem to be ignoring the fact that the change is being driven by the Police, not so much as MSC. MSC are reacting to concerns from the Police about the nature of the delivery of courses/ instructor quality and moderation and the majority of instructors being older and not enough young instructors coming through.
Our local meeting is tonight...so we will see what happens..............
Yes, Nicole McKee and Mike Pyatt were sacked by the MSC CEO and have set up a their new organisation F.S.S. Both have extensive firearms experience and apparently were well liked (very much so in my district) by the MSC volunteers that had anything to do with them.
