Yea cant actually see what the problem is with people knowing their rights and execising them. Youd think that would be a part of being fit and proper.

    Thanks for the updated documents.

Always good to know what one's rights are and how to politely use them

Thanks for the update, I have a friend who is an older person who keeps saying to everyone how you are required to tell an officer if you have firearms onboard your vehicle should you be stopped by a traffic cop, now I can show them its not the case. Perhaps it was the law many decades ago?

I think they are meaning that people hear stories or other experiences from those in the US and assume the same rules apply here?

Throwing a bit of a random one here....I know I have 7 days to show my FAL when asked if I dont have it on me. Can the police / Do the Police ask to see it if I am not in possession of a firearm at the time . I know I am not required to carry it when I am not in possession / transporting one (or more ) but I was asked if they could ask to see it seeing as they would know I have one if they search my rego if I am pulled over....

On a different note, Last time, I was pulled over, it was aftr 4am in the morning and I was on my way home from work and they said they saw me using my cellphone while driving...I said absolutely not. They asked if they could see my phone. I said "sure, I am going to need to get out of the car...is that Ok?" so I got out, went into the back seat, and asked them to point his torch into my car so I could see then dug through my work bag and removed my cell phone....(Back cell phone in a black back pack) She didn't even bother to ask me to turn it on....

Yea they will try that shit for some reason. Ive been asked if I have a fal quite a few times which I answer yes( they already know I have) usually the next question is do you have firearms in the vehicle which every time so far I havnt. They have never actually wanted to see the license tho

No you don’t have to carry your firearms licence at all times. Regarding being stopped while driving, not once have I been asked for my fal or if I’ve had firearms in vehicle. One speeding ticket, various WOF/driver licence/ road user/log book checks etc dealings have only been transport related. But yes, local cops know that chances are that I have a firearm in my personal vehicle.

Do you have firearms at that house? If not no issue - and I don't think that you've actually done anything wrong if you didn't as according to the stuff I've seen they should be giving you 7 days notice of an inspection?

What it raises to me is a question about whether that landlord is one you should be doing business with going forwards - which is a little bit of a dumb question if there is a shortage of housing in your area though.
