One factor is (I believe) that property crime isn't taken seriously enough. That's three firearms a day being nicked! Recidivist burglars are a menace and cost the rest of us far too much. Jail is a revolving door, I reckon if we double the sentences, we halve the crime. It's a fucking joke otherwise.
