I know this has probably been asked before but I don't have time to trawl through 26 pages of info. I can't get the registry to recognize a Ruger 10/22 off it's database to allow me to enter the serial number .... any suggestions ?

Youd think one of the most common guns in nz would at least be in the register. And they want accurate data? And its an offence to supply incorrect information?

No issues registering a Ruger 10/22 there were multiple options for models. No sure what viper is doing wrong.

@Markos, thanks for that, good to know you got yours over the line. Made me have another go this morning . Entered the information in again but in a slightly different sequence and successful.

Meh the design of the system is terrible. It's like the worst features of a paper based manual system crossed with the worst features of a database. It lacks a friendly interface for non-computer savvy people and I don't remember seeing any guides on how to use it. You can't really blame people for struggling with the pile of runny shit it is.

As a computer guy, is that a technical term?

No, that is the common language term. The technical term is CLED (Copious Liquified Excremental Data). Ha ha ha ha

It is not the most intuitive program , entering a serial number had me stumped till I happened to select a rifle off their list and suddenly another box opened up. That part to me wasn't very clear.
Then it surprised me as I have a French Unique semi auto .22. Not exactly common and I thought this one will be a phone call but bugger me it was on the list.
Like all computer programs a mix of ease of use and frustrating interface.

I wonder if they 'Flag' you , past a certain number of firearms in the registration process . How many might be considered too-many ? Thoughts ?
